How to Sign Off the Care Certificate

Sign off a learner’s Care Certificate

This article explains how managers can review and sign off each section of a learner’s Care Certificate.
Steps:
1. Go to the manager’s dashboard
2. Open the activity reports.
3. Use the course filter on the right-hand side and select “Care Certificate”.
4. Find the learner who has completed their assessments and select the white “View” button.
5. Scroll down to see which sections are signed off and which are not.
6. Select “View” on any section marked as “Not signed off”.
7. Look for questions with a magnifying glass icon. These require a manager observation.
8. Tick the white box next to each question that needs signing off.
9. Add evidence where required.
10. For Care Certificate evidence, make sure you choose “Observation”.
11. After completing all required questions in a section, scroll to the bottom of the page and sign off the section.
12. Repeat this for all sections until the entire Care Certificate is signed off.
Tips or Common Issues:
• The magnifying glass icon shows where an observation is needed.
• Evidence must be added before you can sign off a section.
• Make sure you select the correct evidence type, as choosing the wrong option may prevent completion.
