Adding learners to sessions in bulk

A guide to adding multiple learners to sessions.  For example when you want to
  1. import training records from a previous system
  2. add training records completed by a staff member with a different employer
  3. bulk upload attendance for a Face to Face session you have run
This feature is only available for system admins:
  1. Navigate to Settings -> Topics
  2. Select the Topic you wish to track the training under and create the session.  It may be worth creating a new topic if you wish to track this type of training separately on the training matrix.  For example many customers like to have an additional topic for First Aid Training (F2F) so they can easily distinguish this.
  3. Make a note of the session ID number which you can see on the view all sessions page.

  4. Navigate to Settings -> Topics and click "Import Sessions"

  5. Download the import template and use the information icons to check how to fill in the template

  6. If you are importing legacy training data then set the completion date to match the training certificate date. This will ensure the session appears on the training matrix as signed off with this date. If you leave the session complete date field blank then the session will be allocated to the learner but will not be signed off.

  7. Then upload the template by clicking on Upload Sessions and choose the file you have just created.  Note this must be saved as a CSV

  8. Finally - check the learner profile and/or training matrix to see the details of the sessions you have imported.
