Why a completed course may appear blank on the Training Matrix

Summary:
This article explains why a course you have completed might not show on the Training Matrix and how your manager can update it.

1. Remember that the Training Matrix only shows courses that are “assigned” to you.

2. A course is assigned when it has a target date set.

3. If a course does not have a target date, it is treated as optional.

4. Optional courses do not show progress or completion dates on the Training Matrix.

5. If you complete an optional course, the matrix may still show a blank (white) cell.

Option 1 – Add a target date:

1. Your manager can add a target date to an optional course.

2. The matrix will then track it and show compliance.

Option 2 – Delete the optional version:

1. Your manager can delete an optional course they have assigned to you.

2. The matrix will then use the most recent version of the course that was completed that also had a target date set to show on the training matrix.

3. The matrix will show a green completion cell with the original completion date.
