Signing off courses in Click - Accreditation of Prior Learning

Signing off courses in Click - Accreditation of Prior Learning

One of the advantages of using Click - Learning is that you have full control over a Learner's progress and can sign off individual Outcomes or whole Sections at any time.  If you are going to do this you will need to evidence why you believe the Learner is competent.  This is known as Accreditation of Prior Learning and is easy to do.  Let's take Grace as an example:

Grace is a new care worker in a residential home.
She used to work as a Learning Support Assistant in a nursery and has certificates for:
  1. First Aid,
  2. Food safety
  3. Safeguarding Children.
She needs to complete her Care Certificate but her employer is happy she doesn't need to do the standards for Basic Life Support and Safeguarding Children because of her recent experience and certificates.

In scenarios like this, managers can add evidence to the learners results to explain this.
